Rev. Dr. Melinda V. McLain is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, musician, and writer. She is pastor for The Good Table United Church of Christ and the Founder of The Good Table Cafe in El Sobrante, CA
She is currently working on a play with music about the American dust bowl entitled, The Broken Land.

She regularly performs in sacred and secular settings as a pianist, vocalist, and choral conductor.
Before seminary, she was an opera stage manager, political organizer, and public relations professional who worked for several non-profits during their inaugural year including: the Los Angeles Opera, the Feminist Majority and she founded The Women & Families Outreach Project for Marin AIDS Interfaith Network.
Melinda holds a B.A. in Music from Rice University, a M.Div. from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. in postmodern ecclesiology from Drew University. She lives in a semi-rural area near San Francisco with her wife Colleen Rodger, their dog Teja and Ashby the parakeet.
